Energy, excitement and cheers filled the Brooklyn High School Auditorium on Monday, February 4th, as the entire student body watched the semi-final round of the inaugural e-Sports Tournament. Senior Michael Dickens, sophomore Ryan Cutright, and eighth graders Tyler Sowders and C.J. Watkins faced-off in Madden NFL 19 gameplay on a large projector screen situated on the stage. Students, teachers and staff watched with excitement, cheering every big play and showing support for each player. Tyler Sowders and Ryan Cutright won their respective rounds and will advance to the championship game which will be held after-school in the coming week. Student response to the e-Sports Tournament has been extremely positive and has laid the groundwork for an NBA 2K Tournament in the spring. Congratulations to Tyler and Ryan on advancing to the championship round!
