The prestigious Scholastic Art and Writing Competition, which is open to students in grades 7 to 12 was held at the Cleveland Institute of Art last weekend. Over 3000 pieces were submitted, and our very own Kylee Clark was one of only five seventh graders to win Gold Key distinction. Kylee is in good company---past winners of gold keys include Robert Redford and Pop Artist Andy Warhol who were both recipients when they were in High School.
Kylee’s ceramic piece along with the work of all Gold Key Award winners, have been entered into the national competition which will take place in New York City. Results of that contest will be announced in March. Kylee's work is currently on display at the Cleveland Institute of Art Reinberger Gallery until February 3rd. Viewing hours are Monday-Friday 10-5 and Saturday/Sunday 12-5.
