At the June 26, 2018 Brooklyn Board of Education meeting, Brian Hare was named Brooklyn High School Assistant Principal and Lara Smith was named Assistant Principal of Brooklyn School.
Brian Hare comes to Brooklyn from Scranton Elementary School in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District. Brian acted as the Assistant Principal and Curriculum and Instruction Specialist at Scranton where his responsibilities included teacher coaching, discipline, and implementation of school-wide initiatives. He was a special education teacher in CMSD and HIghland Schools before entering administration.
Lara Smith comes to Brooklyn after spending 3 years in the North Ridgeville City School District serving an English teacher followed by a position as the Interim Assistant Principal at North Ridgeville High School. During her time at North Ridgeville, Lara displayed a successful track record of success and is a welcome addition to the Brooklyn School administration. Ms. Smith also spent 7 years in the Cleveland Metropolitan Schools teaching at the Ginn Academy, Success Tech and John Hay. She held several teacher-leaders positions in both school districts.
