At its June 26, 2018, regular meeting, the Brooklyn the Board of Educations passed an urgent necessity resolution to begin repairs on the Brooklyn High School roof. This resolution will allow much-needed repairs to begin on the high school roof likely beginning early this fall. The Board of Education has approved spending not to exceed $360,000 on a Thermoplastic Polyolefin or TPO roof system. This system is not a complete tear-out reinstall but rather the TPO system is installed over the existing roof. This system will prevent future leaks inside the high school facility and comes with a 15-year warranty. These repairs will be non-invasive repairs that can occur during the school year if necessary.
