The Brooklyn City Schools are proud to announce that senior Marchello Carrossellia will compete in the 2019 OHSAA Bowling State Tournament in Columbus, OH on Saturday, March 2, 2019.  Marchello advanced to the state championship with a victory at the Div. II District Bowling Tournament where he earned a second-place finish with a series score of 594 points.  A standout member of the Brooklyn High School Bowling team for all four years, Marchello’s accomplishments are made even more impressive given the fact that he has only been bowling for the past five years.  Marchello credits his drive, strong work ethic and passion for the game as the key to finding success both on the lanes and in-school.  In addition to bowling, Marchello was a four-year member of the basketball team and played on the Hurricane’s baseball team for the past three years.  Marchello is also involved in the Marching Band and Jazz Band as a trumpet player.  After graduation, he plans on attending the University of Pikeville (KY) on a bowling scholarship and pursuing a major in Accounting.  Marchello credits the supportive teachers, helpful resources and small-school atmosphere of the Brooklyn City Schools for helping to prepare him for future success and foster the drive to achieve his personal goals.  The Brooklyn City Schools congratulates Marchello and wishes him continued success as he prepares to compete for a state title in Columbus!
