10th grader Nina Lunde joins a select group of individuals to have artwork selected for display at the Mythic Columbus art exhibit at the Center of Science and Industry (COSI) in Columbus, OH. The art showcase leads up to the new exhibit Dragons, Unicorns, & Mermaids: Mythic Creatures, which explores how fossils and real animals inspired stories of mythic creatures across history and cultures, including dragons, mermaids, unicorns, the Loch Ness monster and Bigfoot. Nina’s artwork is titled Window to Your Soul and was inspired after a visit to the Great Lakes Medieval Faire, where she purchased a pair of wearable dragon horns. After viewing her reflection in the mirror at home, Nina used black acrylic paint to create an ominous silhouette of her reflection. The Mythic Creatures exhibit is produced in collaboration with the American Museum of Natural History in New York City and will remain on display through September 2, 2019. For more information, please visit COSI online. Congratulations to Nina Lunde on her remarkable accomplishment!
