English IVB: Media Literacy/Research
View Events/Assignments for
Students will learn critical thinking skills (evidence based learning) via a media literacy curriculum and completion of a 10-12 page argumentative research paper. The paper will be a two-sided argument on a current social issue using claims, reasons and a variety of credible evidence following proper APA guidelines. Class readings tend to be nonfictional, reporter-based articles and essays from major newspapers and media outlets.
Final copy of the senior research paper is due on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
