Dear Parents,

        Here is our second blizzard bag work.   Included in this packet are the second day blizzard bag work assignments.  You have two weeks to complete these assignments.  Please return all completed work by Tuesday May 20th. 

        Below are the directions and assignments to complete for each subject area:

 

MATH:   Students will practice recognizing base ten numbers. Write the correct 2 digit number on the line next to the base ten blocks.  (Remember that a stick =10 and a cube =1)  Then flip the paper over and color in the numbers you wrote on the hundreds chart to reveal the hidden picture.

 

READING:  Have your child read to you using past decodable books or other simple books.  Talk about what happened in the beginning, middle and end.

 

LANGUAGE ARTS:

Complete the practice page of reading and writing short vowel u words.   Complete the page of reviewing all the short vowel sounds.

        WRITING:  Trace the word butterfly. Write butterfly. Write    two sentences using butterfly. Trace the word dog.  Write dog.        Write dog in a sentence and illustrate it.

SCIENCE:  We are learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. You will cut and assemble a book about the life cycle of a butterfly. Cut and glue labels on butterfly life cycle sheet. You may keep the book at home and just return the completed life cycle sheet. 

 

When your packet is completed please return it to school any time on or before May 20th.
