Brooklyn HS Science Classes Explore Big Creek Reservation BHS students study macro-invertebrates at the Big Creek Reservation with a staff member from the Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District

Approximately thirty Brooklyn High School students from BHS Science teacher Catherine Woodruff’s Physics and Earth Science classes participated in an immersive, hands-on learning experience near the Big Creek Reservation’s Memphis Picnic area.

Brooklyn City Schools Board of Education Vice President Rocky Neale and Member Rob Slattery, along with District Treasurer Colleen Aholt participated in the mock Board Meeting which provided students a real world learning activity.  

Davion Gonzalez Receives Excellence in Education Award Davion Gonzalez is a recipient of the 2022 Excellence in Education Awards

Davion was awarded the Outstanding Peer Achievement Award which is given to students without disabilities who have served as an outstanding role model by establishing positive relationships with and assisting other students with special needs.
