In response to the coronavirus outbreak, the Brooklyn City School District will remain closed now through Friday, May 1 per Governor DeWine’s order. The District has developed a detailed multiple-leveled extended closure plan to support our students. Our Extended School Closure Plan includes information on distance learning, grade and class specific instruction, available learning resources, school meal opportunities, and special education supports. All information can be found here on the District website. If you have any questions on where to find information, please call 216-485-8100. Thank you for your patience as we work through these difficult times and stay safe.
I am honored and excited to become the new Principal at Brooklyn High School. Moving forward it is the shared vision of the Brooklyn Administrators, Teachers, and other staff that Brooklyn High School become a school of choice in an ever competitive world. Brooklyn High School is a place where students can grow and evolve as they prepare for the future academically, personally, and become well-rounded citizens. Moving forward it is my personal goal that every student receives an education that challenges them while also supporting their individual learning needs.
Brooklyn High is a school where "everybody knows your name." Our students enjoy a comradery that is not common to the many larger districts across the area. It enables students to have a connection that is personal and bonds the community with the school.
Our teachers, administrators and counselors recognize that adolescents face many pressures in today's society, and we encourage students to not only work on academics but also address making good decisions in dealing with life's challenges, peer pressure, modeling good behavior and mentoring younger students. We will be encouraging a positive environment for our student body in the classroom, sports field, and in the community.
Brooklyn High School enjoys wonderful support from the Brooklyn Community. In working with the community we can all ensure that BHS remains a High School of choice while learning lessons and making bonds that will last a lifetime.
