School Zone Light Times/Parking Lot Information


The school zone lights are installed, operated, and maintained by the City of Brooklyn.       

According to Section 333.03 of the City of Brooklyn Codified Ordinances, the speed limit in School Zones is:

  • Twenty miles (20) per hour in school zones during school recess and while children are going to or leaving school during the opening or closing hours, and when twenty miles per hour school speed limit signs are erected



The twenty (20) miles per hour speed limit is in effect any time students are arriving, leaving, or during school recess, regardless of the school zone light status.



7:15 AM - 9:00 AM

11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

2:15 PM -  4:00 PM

(Subject to change for special schedules, i.e. Early Dismissal or Late Arrival)




K-3 drop off 7:30-8:00 a.m. and K-3 pick up 3:11-3:35 p.m.  For drop off and pick up between those times, please report to the office via door #3 and the Gold Lot.
