Meet Mr. Michael Becker, Director of Alternative Education and Athletics

Michael Becker Headshot

Brooklyn Hurricane Students, Staff, Families, and Community Members,

It is my pleasure to introduce myself as the new Director of Alternative Education and Athletics here at Brooklyn City Schools!  I am extremely excited to become a member of the Brooklyn community.  In my 17-year career, I have served as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, and athletic director.  I am very passionate about building positive relationships and providing the best possible educational and athletic experience for students and student athletes.

My goals for the 2021-2022 school year include building positive relationships with all stakeholders, helping to grow the Brooklyn Digital Learning Academy, increasing participation in our athletic program, and instilling PRIDE in our schools and community.  I am very happy to be in Brooklyn and am excited to get to work!  I look forward to meeting everyone in the upcoming months.

PROUD TO BE A HURRICANE!

Respectfully,

Mr. Mike Becker
