4th Graders Explore Prehistoric Native American History of Ohio

Cleveland Metroparks at Brooklyn School

4th grade students at Brooklyn School explored the history and culture of Prehistoric Native Americans of Ohio courtesy of the Cleveland Metroparks on Thursday, April 18, 2019.  The engaging presentation was facilitated by a professional educator from the Cleveland Metroparks and featured both real and replica artifacts related to the daily life and culture of Native Americans who inhabited Northeast Ohio from 10,000 BC to 1600 AD.  Students were engaged throughout the entire program which coincided with a current social studies unit on Early Ohioans.  In addition, students were given the opportunity to ask questions and get an up-close look of the artifacts.  The Brooklyn City Schools would like to thank the Cleveland Metroparks for helping to bring history to life for our students!
