Important Health Information for students

As we begin the new school year, we would like to ask you to take a moment to review some important health information that pertains to all of our students and staff. Throughout the Brooklyn School District, we have individuals both staff and students who have a variety of health concerns that result in them being more susceptible to serious illness. Common infections like Strep Throat; Chicken Pox; and Influenza can be very serious for these individuals.

It is important that you keep your students home when they are ill. Additionally, when you call your student off from school, please specify the reason for the absence (ie Fever; Strep Throat; Flu, etc.) This will give us important information that will allow us to make necessary decisions to keep our students and staff safe and healthy.
