The Brooklyn City Schools Board of Education formally approved Brian Hare as the new Principal at Brooklyn High School during the most recent meeting on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Mr. Hare, who currently serves as Assistant High School Principal, will replace current Principal Bill Wingler, at the start of the 2020-2021 school year. Principal Wingler leaves the Brooklyn City Schools after three years as an administrator, for the same position in the Strongsville City Schools. The Brooklyn City Schools thank Mr. Wingler for his continuous dedication on behalf of students in the District and wish him continued success in his new position.
Mr. Hare has served as Assistant Principal at Brooklyn High School for the past two years. Prior to working in the District, he served as Assistant Principal and Curriculum Specialist at Scranton Elementary School. His prior education experience also includes serving as Intervention Specialist at Scranton Elementary, Highland Middle School and Finland Intermediate School. Mr. Hare was motivated to pursue a career in education after several formative experiences, which included working at a summer camp and helping students with disabilities while attending high school. His educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in K-12 Intervention Specialist from Capital University and a master’s degree in Education Leadership from Baldwin-Wallace University. During his free time, Mr. Hare enjoys spending time with his wife, Brittany, and two dogs, Champ and Mya. He also enjoys sports, racing sailboats, and volunteers with various organizations including Trials for Hope.
It is with a great deal of Hurricane Pride that the Brooklyn City Schools congratulate Brian Hare on his new role in the District!
