Students and Staff Participate in District-Wide Virtual Spirit Week Challenge

Virtual Spirit Week Challenge

Students and staff throughout the entire District had the opportunity to showcase their creativity during a fun, art-themed Virtual Spirit Week Challenge from April 20th – April 24th. Coordinated by Joanne Becker, Visual Arts Teacher (Grades 6-12) and Suzy Marquis, Intervention Specialist, the virtual challenge asked participants to recreate a famous work of art using clothing and props around the house, place the creation next to the original artwork and take a photo. Submissions were then posted on social media using #hurricanepride or emailed to their teacher. A slideshow of all submitted artwork is now available for viewing online. The challenge featured a high degree of participation and provided the opportunity for the entire Brooklyn City Schools community to stay connected and celebrate Hurricane Pride!
