PLTW Gateway Distinguished School

For the third consecutive year, Brooklyn City Schools was recognized by Project Lead the Way (PLTW) with a Distinguished Schools award for middle school level satellite STEM and career learning programs provided in partnership with Polaris Career Center. Both Brooklyn High School and Brooklyn School share the honor of the 2020-21 PLTW Gateway Distinguished School award for demonstrating a commitment to increasing student access, engagement, and achievement in their PLTW programs. Brooklyn joins a select group of 158 middle school level programs across the country to receive this special recognition based on an evaluation of data collected during the 2019-2020 school year. Project Lead the Way is a non-profit organization that provides engaging, hands-on learning experiences for PreK-12 students and teachers across the country. The Brooklyn City Schools thanks Polaris Career Center for partnering with the District to provide our students with knowledge and skills that will prepare them for successful futures.
