Brooklyn's annual Kindergarten Kickoff Program will be held on August 1^st – 5^th, and August 8^th – 12^th, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Brooklyn School. The free program is open to all Brooklyn students who are registered for Kindergarten for the 2022-23 school year.

The Brooklyn City Schools invites families of new students entering Preschool through Grade 12 for the 2022-2023 school year. Click below for important registration information.

Students, family members, and district staff were joined by members from the Brooklyn Fire and Police Departments as they walked to school on Wednesday, May 11th. 

The Brooklyn Jazz Ensemble was one of only eight school instrumental groups to be selected to perform at the Tri-C Jazz Festival Adjudication hosted at Westlake High School on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.

Sixteen student members of the Superintendent’s Student Leadership Academy had the special opportunity to meet and hear inspiring remarks from Mr. Jim Crooks, a communications and public relations professional in Northeast Ohio.

Week long celebration of literacy from April 11th-14th included guest readers, Family Literacy Night, and other exciting reading activities.

The results of a recently completed facility study conducted by GPD Group to assess district facility conditions and needs was presented at the regular meeting of the Brooklyn City Schools Board of Education on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. 

This week, the Ohio Department of Health released Updated School and Activity Quarantine Guidelines aimed at keeping students in school during a potential close contact situation.
