The Brooklyn City Schools Board of Education has hired Patrick, “Pat” Costanzo, a 1991 alumnus of the District, as its new football coach, returning him to a position that he once held several years ago, and evoking a tremendous sense of Hurricane Pride. Coach Costanzo takes the job bringing with him the time-honored values of motivation, dedication, discipline and relevant experience in building confidence among the young men part of the football program. Coach Costanzo returns to the Brooklyn City Schools where he served as Varsity Head Coach from 2007 until 2010, a tenure which saw him coach student-athletes who eclipsed single-season and all-time rushing records. His football coaching career dates back to 1997 and includes time spent at Holy Name and Saint Thomas More. The Brooklyn City Schools congratulates Pat Costanzo on being named the new head varsity football coach. Go Hurricanes!
