    In response to the coronavirus outbreak, the Brooklyn City School District will remain closed now through the end of the 2019-2020 school year per Governor DeWine’s order. The District will provide additional information on end of the year announcements over the next several weeks. Brooklyn High School Awarded Grant by Cleveland Touchdown Club Charities

Brooklyn High School is the proud recipient of the 2020 Leo Murphy Field & Equipment Grant, totaling $2,500, from Cleveland Touchdown Club Charities. Former Varsity Football Head Coach Sean Belveal applied for the grant which will be used to purchase new equipment and other resources to improve the safety and overall quality of the football program.

New Head Football Coach Pat Costanzo, who was approved by the Board of Education on April 21st, expressed his gratitude in the following statement:  "The Brooklyn Football Program and Athletic Department would like to thank the Cleveland Touchdown Club for awarding Brooklyn High School the $2,500 Leo Murphy Field & Equipment Grant in 2020. We would like to also thank our former head coach, Sean Belveal, for applying for this grant on behalf of our football program.  This grant will allow us to continue to update our equipment for the upcoming season and help build our football program."

Cleveland Touchdown Club Charities is dedicated to supporting youth throughout Northeast Ohio through various scholarships, grants, volunteer efforts and special charity events. The Brooklyn City Schools would like to thank Cleveland Touchdown Club Charities for their generous financial support on behalf of the Athletic Department and our students.
